i BELIEVE YOU SHOULD BRING BRENDA BACK BECAUSE THE CLOSER WAS A HIT BUT MAJOR CRIMES IS NOT,IT'S A MAJOR PAIN.GET RID OF THE RUSTY CHARACTER AND MAJOR RAYDOR.I'M SORRY TO SAY BUT IT IS BORING,AND ANDY,WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THAT CHARACTER?IT'S PAINFUL TO WATCH.NO EDGE,NO BITCHINESS,NO GUTS ANY MORE
I too love The Closer and really miss it. Brenda Leigh Johnson was a unique character and we're all so fortunate to have had her for over seven years. But Kyra decided to end her participation in the show. If Brenda had been a weak, secondary character, maybe the producers could have found a way around Kyra's departure. But she wasn't. So they did the best thing they could do. They gave us Major Crimes so, at least, we get to see the rest of the cast continue.
I am one of those who did not love The Closer nor did I care much for BLJ. I will say I agree with you about Flynn. He is a bit different in Major Crimes. Maybe it is because this show does not revolve around one character but is an ensemble. Which is what I am liking more about Major Crimes over The Closer.
When Kyra does come back it will be interesting to see how she fits into the show, even if it is only for an episode or two.
I'm sorry you cannot find something to like in Major Crimes. To me it is much more thought provking than The Closer ever was. I hope you can give the show another chance and maybe find something you like. When I started watching The Closer I did not care at all for BLJ, but like the show and the writing and of course the men of the show made it worthwhile, for me at least.
Wikia Contributor, this isn't a board connected to TNT, so your message won't get to them, I'm afraid. They have their own board on the TNT sight, but they don't monitor it, either. You have to use their viewer comments page on the TNT website to get a message to them.
Regardless, you must recognize that Kyra Sedgwick chose to leave The Closer, and we were fortunate to have the show transform into Major Crimes, so that we didn't lose the wonderful ensemble. You'll have to accept that, because Brenda's days are over aside from a possible guest appearance at some unknown time in the future.
