  • Hi again WarGrowlmon.

Just wanted to say, you've been doing awesome job these past few days. Definitely appreciate the help!

I've started watching Major Crimes again from the very beginning and going through the episode pages (and character pages) for the purpose of trying to fill them up a bit more. Unfortunately real life always seems to get in the way when I'm supposed to start another episode so my progress has been slow (only getting to Season 1, episode 4). I'm sure you've found out that long articles take a long time to write.

As said above, really appreciate your edits! Hope you can forgive me for some of my "quirks" on the LAPD-related pages, for me to want to present them in a certain way.

We're making this wiki a better and better, not caring about the fact that the shows have ended. Thank you!

    • Or they just choose the very best!!! Julio is Tuco in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Andy was the first actor to play the Charmed Ones dad in Charmed. He was later replaced by the guy who played him for the rest of the series. Mason's actor was DL Hawkins in the first two seasons of Heroes. Sharon's actress was President Laura Roslin in the remake series of Battlestar Galactica. Incredible actress and role. Had a romance similar to her and Andy's down to how long it took them to get together and how she died in the end. One of her costars was in season 4 actually as that pervy photographer in Open Line. And as I said in the Shockwave Part 2 article, her promotion to Commander mirrored one of her scenes from that show. She had some of the most incredible scenes on that show. The DA guy when Stroh was first introduced was Dick Roman in season 7 of Supernatural, the main bad guy of that season. Thankfully long-since dead. One of the suspects in season 2, I can't remember the episode but there was multiple suspects and the killer hid a lot of money as poker chips, well one of the suspects was played by the actor who played one of the main characters of Stargate Atlantis. Great show, really miss it.

Fun fact: the guy who played Gavin's character of Lucifer in Supernatural and Curtis Armstrong's (Peter Goldman) character of Metatron shared a scene in the 11th season of that show just before Metatron's death. But Lucifer was NOT played by that actor at the time. He was played by Misha Collins. Gavin's actor is the main actor (well was since Lucifer is dead as of the latest finalie) for that character, but he was not the only one.

    • Its okay if you didn’t give an edit summary on the Supernatural wiki. Because I understand. Unlike some people I know or knew who didn’t understand at all. They still don’t. But at least you tried and that’s what counts. It still does too. Woo hoo.

  • Hi WarGrowlmon!

I hope you don't mind too much, but I'm going to be changing some of the text you've added to the MCD personnel pages.

At first, I even thought about removing them completely, as I originally envisioned them just as a list and nothing more. But in the end, I do see the benefit of the info you've written there but I'm not entirely happy about the way it's presented now.

And also on that note, I'll be deleting the Major Crimes Division/Personnel 2015 page, as I don't really think that is needed. The events that it describes happened between seasons, and Oderno was only with MCD for the Season 4 premiere, so in the grand scheme of things, that page doesn't really serve a purpose (in my opinion). There has also been some of these temporary personnel changes during The Closer but, like Oderno, they were so short lived that it really doesn't make sense to list them.

    • I always saw that "well your going to need more personnel" just Buzz's transition to detective, nothing more. Guess there are a lot of ways to interpret everything.

And as for the amount of personnel, they are now (with Buzz as a Detective) at the same amount as most of the existence of MCD. These past few Major Crimes seasons expanded the squad (with Wes and Cami) but for the most part, MCD has had seven people like now.

    • True. I forgot about Wes and Cami since they are so new. But the way Mason said it sounded like they were gonna get more people. Don't forget, Major Crimes got expanded upon over the last season since Sharon got promoted. Making it even better in Mason's words.

  • Yeah, first time editing, really just wanted to add the make/model of the truck. Found it difficult to navigate on my phone. If you can update the trivia about the truck would appreciate. It’s a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.

  • Please don't boldface the word "as" in cast lists. I think you may have seen someone else do it, but regardless, it's inappropriate. Boldface is use for emphasis; as is a connector word and is the least important part of the cast credits. The BF you've added will need to be removed. Thanks!

    • Ah sorry about that. I simply saw it posted that way in one of the episodes on here somewhere when I was looking for the way to do the cast lists. Season 5, maybe??? I think that's where I got it from anyway. We've got a couple different ways its been done on here. I just went with what I thought was the easiest way to copy doing it.

    • Yeah, I thought someone else did it before you. As you go, start removing the BF, and we'll find it all in time.

    • Start with all of season 4 I've done so far then. I put more BF in the article before I saw this post and after you removed what I had put there earlier. I actually didn't notice that but I fixed the FindKaylaWebber BFing I did after you sent this message at least.

  • Hola, WG!

As you may have noticed, I'm working on a new set of templates that will auto-format episode titles, and reference to episodes. We built these for the Person of Interest wiki, and I also use them with Mr. Robot; they're really helpful. I'm working on Template:L right now, which is very fiddly. If you wouldn't mind, please don't alter or fiddle with anything I'm doing until I let you know they're good to roll out. One tiny incorrect change will mean a whole string of templates won't work. Thanks!

    • Just relax. Like I said, I'm just tinkering. Nothing is decided.

    • Okay. If it doesn't work out, I hope you'll reverse that. Because I really do hate how that looks right now.

  • Hi,

As you might have noticed, I mostly reverted the edits you made on the Major Crimes Characters page, and I want to tell you why so that there is no misunderstandings.

I would like to keep that page filled with relevant information (so that it's fast to read and understand everyone's role, without going too deep into their history) and spoiler free (to an extent). I'll dissect this below.

    1. Chief Taylor: No need to tell that he was murdered. That is just spoiling it for possible new viewers. Although his last episode is mentioned, it doesn't spoil his exit.
    2. Chief Mason: He couldn't have worked very closely with MCD, as he was only seen three times, and the Raydor promotion is not relevant to him, it's just trivia.
    3. Chief Howard: It is not relevant in the grand scheme of things that he was the Acting Assistant Chief, that is not the case anymore and that info can be found on his page.
    4. Cmdr. Raydor: No need to tell about Chief Johnson's departure, that was a different show, and the info about her being promoted, no need to go that deep into it, that info can be read on her page.
    5. DDA Rios: This edit I kept, that was good.
    6. Lt. Cooper: Chuck and Amy being in a relationship is not relevant to his character and main role as SIS commanding officer.
    7. Det. Oderno: About him being temporarily assigned to MCD, that is the past not at all relevant to his current job or appearances on the show. That info can also be found on his page.
    8. Chief Davis: The race to Assistant Chief is over, no need to mention it here. It's covered extensively on her page (and Raydor's and Mason's).

I hope you see what I'm trying to say here, no hard feelings I hope, you're doing good work recently.

I know you do. I'm just giving you a sense of why I feel as I do, and established the policy, so you, as an administrator, can explain it later if need be. Thanks for the title fix; that's just basic American English grammar.

As English isn't my native language, those grammar mistakes might occur, even though I'm pretty decent at it currently.

As for my reasoning for the italics on the titles, I italicized them because I categorized them in my head to be "special" titles, so that they would pop out more, so to say. But as I said, I'll fix them when I see them.

      Thanks for your points LG.
